Below you will find a concise description on how to use ePlusGiro.


How to change your PIN code for Smartsec (Ändra PIN-kod)
- only if you have a card reader for SmartSec card. First of all, you will be asked to change the pre-set PIN code to your card reader to any PIN code of your choice. You only have to do this once.

  1. Start the card reader with the card inserted. The text ANGE PIN or ANGE GAMMAL then appears in the display. Enter the pre-set PIN code, wich you recived from us.

  2. Press the KLAR button to continue.

  3. ANGE NY PIN or ANGE NY then appears in the display. Enter a PIN code of your choice.

    Note: It is very important to remember your PIN code because you will be the only one with access to it.

  4. Press the KLAR button to continue.

  5. UPPREPA NY then appears in the display. Repeat the PIN code you selected.

  6. Press the KLAR button.

  7. If everything is in order, NY PIN KLAR or NY PIN OK then appears in the display. This means that the new PIN code was accepted and is now ready to be used.

  8. Note: If FEL or FEL PINKOD appears in the display, please start again from step 2, and making sure that you enter the pre-set PIN code when promoted by ANGE PIN or ANGE GAMMAL.


Log on (Logga in)
Go to www.plusgirot.se, and on the box marked "Logga in" you click on to ePlusGiro or Internetbanken Företag to get to the log on page. Depending on what security solution you have, you choose one of the following log-on instructions; log on using Nordea e-kod or SmartSec card reader

Log on with Nordea e-kod:
  1. State civic registration No. (personnummer) or corporate registration No. (organisationsnummer).

  2. Turn on the card reader by inserting your card (or press "OK" if the card is already inserted), face up with the chip turned downwards.

  3. The card reader displays Välj funktion. Press the LOGIN button.

  4. The card reader displays KortPIN. Enter your card PIN and press "OK".

  5. The card reader displays a nine-digit response code. Enter the response code in the field Svarskod in the log in-box above.

  6. Click on "Logga in"

Log on with a SmartSec card reader.
  1. Key in civic registration No in the space "Personnummer" alternatively organisationsnummer, (corporate registration No)/Användaridentitet, (user identity) in the space "Användar-id" on the screen.

  2. Start the card reader with the card inserted. The text "VÄLJ FUNKTION" (SELECT FUNCTION) alternatively "FUNKTION" (FUNCTION is shown in the card reader's window.

  3. Press the button CERTIFIERA (CERTIFY) alternativly CERT. The text "LOG IN" is shown in the window.
    ** If KONTONUMMER appears in the display instead of LOG IN, press the NY TJÄNST button until LOG IN appears.

  4. Key in the four-digit log on code that is shown on the screen. Press KLAR (READY)

  5. The text "PIN-KOD" (PIN-CODE) appears in the card readers window. Key in your PIN code for the card and press KLAR.

  6. A six-digit number is shown in the card readers window; enter this into the space CERTIFIKAT the screen.

  7. Click on Logga in.

Now you have access to your account. You can the choose which service you want access to, using the menu to the left. Don't forget to log off when you are finished.


Agreeing to the terms (Godkänna avtal)
The first time you log on to your ePlusGiro service, you will be asked whether you agree to the terms of the agreement with PlusGirot. You only have to do this once. This is what you do:

  1. Read the agreement - unfortunately only available in Swedish.

  2. If you agree to the terms, press the OK button. Otherwise press the Avbryt button.


Welcome to ePlusGiro
You are now ready to explore the opportunities offered to you by ePlusGiro. Here are some of the services available from ePlusGiro:


Making payments (Betala)

Payments in Sweden (Inrikes):

  1. Select Inrikes from the menu on the left-hand side of the screen if you want to make a payment to a bank or person in Sweden.

  2. Type of payment - choose between making a payment in the Betaltyp field:
  3. to another PlusGiro Account (PlusGiro)
  4. to a Bankgiro Number (Bankgiro)
  5. to a bank account, for deposit in an another bank (Bankkonto)
  6. to a Nordea Bank Sverige current- or salary account (Nordea)
  7. as a salary payment or a pension payment ( Lön or Pension)
  8. Additional charges applies for the payment types Bankgiro Number, Bank Account, Salary and Pension. Please see price list for ePlusGiro and Internetbanken Företag (for Corporate) respectively.

  9. Key in the account number of the payee (payment recipient) into the Mottagarkonto field (do not use hyphens).

  10. Key the amount to be paid into the Belopp field. You can make payments in either Swedish kronor (SEK) or Euro (EUR).

  11. Enter the date on which you want your payment to be posted (in the format YY.MM.DD) in the Datum field.

  12. Note: Leave this field empty if you want the payment to be made at the next available posting date.

  13. a) If the payee requires a reference number, key the reference number into the Referensnummer/Meddelande field. The reference number can be found in the lower left-hand corner of the bill.

    b) If there is no reference number stated on your bill - you can leave a message for the payee in the Referensnummer/Meddelande field.

  14. Note: If the bill has a reference number, you must use it. Remember that a reference number may include only digits, no letters. You cannot enter both a reference number and a message to the payee.

  15. Enter a note in the Anteckningar field. This information is optional, strictly for your personal use will not be forwarded to the beneficiary. Notes may contain maximum 35 characters.

  16. To add the payee to your personal recipient list (Mottagarlista), check the Lägg till mottagarlista box. To add more than one bill, repeat steps 1 to 8.

  17. When you have done this, click Lägg till betalningsorder. This will add the payments to the payment order.


Disbursement slip (Utbetalningskort):

If you want to make a payment to someone who does not have an account, or if the beneficiary account is not known:

  1. Enter the name of the payee in the Mottagarnamn field.

  2. Enter the address of the payee in the Adress field.

  3. Enter the post code of the payee in the Postnummer field.

  4. Enter the amount in the Belopp field.

  5. Enter the date on which you want the payment to be posted (in the format YY.MM.DD) in the Önskat betaldatum field. If no date is entered, the payment will be made on the next available posting date.

  6. If you want to attach a message to the payee, use the field Meddelande field for this. You may include a message of up to 220 (alphanumeric) characters.

  7. Enter a note in the Anteckningar field. This information is optional, strictly for your personal use will not be forwarded to the beneficiary. Notes may contain maximum 35 characters.

  8. To add the payee to your personal recipient list (Mottagarlista), check the Lägg till mottagarlista box.

  9. Click Lägg till betalningsorder to add the payment to the summary payment order.


Signing your payments:
Depending on what security solution you have, you can choose one of following signing instructions and then sign in with Nordea e-kod or SmartSec card reader.

Sign with Nordea e-kod:

  1. State civic registration No. (personnummer) or corporate registration No. (organisationsnummer).

  2. Turn on the card reader by inserting your card (or press "OK" if the card is already inserted), face up with the chip turned downwards.

  3. The card reader displays Välj funktion". Press the SIGN button.

  4. The card reader displays KortPIN. Enter your card PIN and press "OK".

  5. The card reader displays a nine-digit response code. Enter the response code in the field Svarskod in the log in-box above.

  6. Click on "Skicka (Send)"

Sign with SmartSec card reader:

  1. When you have completed all your payments, click the Signera button.

  2. Start the card reader with the card inserted. VÄLJ FUNKTION (CHOOSE FUNCTION) is now shown in the card readers window.

  3. Press twice on CERTIFIERA (CERTIFY) alternativly CERT. The text "KOND" (Acct.) or Kontonr (Acct.No) is now shown in the card readers window.

  4. On the screen you will see the text Din signeringskod (kond), ("Your signing code(Kond)" and an eight-digit signing code. Key in signeringskoden (signing code) on the card reader and press KLAR (DONE).

  5. The text "ÅR MÅN" (YEAR MONTH)is shown in the window. State present year and month that is shown on the screen (e.g. 0712). Press KLAR (DONE).

  6. The text "BELOPP" (AmouNT) is shown in the window. Key in the amount that is shown on the screen. Press KLAR (DONE).

  7. The text "PIN-KOD" (PIN-CODE) is shown in the window. State your PIN code for the card and press KLAR (DONE).

  8. A six-digit certifikat (certificate) is shown in the window; key in the code in the space for "Certifikat" on the screen.

  9. Click on Skicka (Send).

When this is completed, the payment order is recieved and confirmation of this will appear on the screen. Immediately after that the payment order can be seen under Bevakning 8please see the heading Bevakning below).


International payments (Utrikes):

Select Utrikes from the menu on the left-hand side of the screen to make international payments. Click Gå vidare to proceed. You can choose between payment to a bank or to a person (disbursement slip).

Payment to a bank (kontoinsättning)

  1. Enter the account number of the payee in the Bankkonto/IBAN field.

  2. Enter the name of the payee in the Mottagarnamn field (maximum 35 characters).

  3. Enter the address of the payee in the Mottagaradress field.

  4. Enter the date on which you want the payment to be posted (in the format YY.MM.DD) in the Önskat betaldatum field.

  5. If no date is entered, the payment will be made on the next available posting date.

  6. Enter the BIC code in the BIC-kod (SWIFT) field. A link to the 300 used most frequently can be found below.

  7. Note: If for some reason you omit the SWIFT code you will be required to enter the name and address of the receiving bank.

  8. Enter the bank code in the Bankkod field. Payments to Great Britain and Ireland require a bank code.

  9. Enter the name of the receiving bank in the Bankens namn field.

  10. Enter the address of the receiving bank in the Bankens adress field.

  11. Enter the amount in the Belopp field.

  12. Enter the currency code in the Valutakod field.

  13. Enter the country code, e g DE for Germany, in the Landkod field.

  14. Enter the central bank code in the Betalningskod field to specify the purpose of the payment.

  15. Select whether the payment should be given normal or express priority in the Förmedlingshastighet field.

  16. Select whether you wish to pay only your own charges associated with the payment (Jag betalar endast egna kostnader) or whether you wish to pay all charges (Jag betalar samtliga kostnader).

  17. If you want to attach a message to the payee, use the Meddelande field for this. You may include a message of no more than 140 (alphanumeric) characters.

  18. When you have done this, click Lägg till betalningsorder. This will add the payment to the summary payment order. To add more than one Account deposit payment, repeat steps 1 to 16.


Disbursement slip (Checkbetalning):

  1. Enter the name of the payee in the Mottagarnamn field.

  2. Enter the address of the payee in the Adress field.

  3. Enter the payee´s postcode and city in the Postnummer och ort field.

  4. Enter the amount in the Belopp field.

  5. Enter the currency in the Valutakod field.

  6. Enter the country code, e g DE for Germany, in the Landkod field.

  7. Enter the central bank code in the Betalkod field to specify the purpose of the payment.

  8. Enter the date on which you want the payment to be posted. (in the format YY.MM.DD) in the Önskat betaldatum field. If no date is entered, the payment will automatically be made on the next available posting date.

  9. To attach a message to the payee, use the Meddelande field for this. You may include a message of no more than 140 (alphanumeric) characters.

  10. Click Lägg till betalningsorder to add the payment to the summary payment order.

Checking forthcoming transactions (Bevakning)
Select Bevakning from the menu on the left-hand side of your screen.

A list of all forthcoming transactions is displayed

Your payment will disappear from the site when it is posted and appear under Kontoutdrag the day after it is posted.

Checking your balance and account statement (Kontoutdrag)
Select Kontoutdrag from the menu on the left-hand side. This displays a list of the last ten entries (transactions) posted to your account.

If the transaction you are looking for is not in the list, you can search for it as described below.

Note: You can view all transactions made over the last 13 months on your account statement.

  1. Enter the date from which you want to start searching in the Från datum field, e.g. 061022 (YYMMDD).

  2. Enter the finish date for your search in the Till datum field, e.g. 070625 (YYMMDD).

  3. Click Sök for OK.

Note: If you are looking for a specific payment, you can enter the payee's (payment recipient's) account number in the Mottagar-/avsändarkontonr field. This will narrow down your search to this account only.

FAQ
Upgrading your browser:

If your computer does not meet the requirements for ePlusGiro, it must be upgraded. This can be done as follows:

  1. Go to the address you use to access the ePlusGiro homepage
    - https://eplusgiro.plusgirot.se/eplusgiro.html, for personal use
    - https://eplusgiro.plusgirot.se/eplusgiro_comp.html, for business use

  2. Log on to ePlusGiro and select Om ePlusGiro from the menu on the left-hand side.

  3. Scroll down until you reach Systemkrav. Here you will find two icons - one for Internet Explorer and another one for Netscape. Click on the icon of your choice.

  4. This will take you to the homepages of Microsoft or Netscape. Select the version you need, then follow the on-screen instructions. Make sure you select the correct version for your operating system.

  5. Download the file selected and save it on your computer.

  6. When you have done this, all you have to do is execute the file you just downloaded. This will load the later version of the browser and you and your computer will be ready to use ePlusGiro.

Trouble shooting

  1. I get the message FEL, INGET KORT or FELAKTIGT KORT when I start up my card reader - yet I know I inserted my card correctly. What should I do?

    This can happen if there is any dust on the metallic chip located on the upper side of the card. Take the card out and clean it with a piece of cloth, then insert the card and start the card reader again.

  2. The Signera betalning button doesn't appear when I want to sign my bills.

    Start by increasing the size of your cache:

    • If you are using Internet Explorer we suggest you set your cache size to 90-120 MB.
    • If you are using Netscape we suggest you set your cache size to 10 000 KB.
    Then empty the cache. It is important to remember to empty the cache on regular basis, because most problems are caused by too little memory or the cache being full.
